Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actress. Also, she sings. Sara Ramirez was raised by her American mother and faced a lot racial taunts, which made her feel unwelcome. After she participated in school contests and received high praise for her singing when she was in the ninth grade, the girl began to gain confidence. It not only boosted her self-confidence but also changed the direction she wanted to go in her career. The 22-year-old earned an education from the Julliard School in New York. She began her career at the age of 23 in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and The You've Got Mail film. However her greatest breakthrough came when she starred in the part of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway production of Spamalot winning not just the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. The following year, in 2007, she was a cast member on the ABC show Grey's Anatomy and became more famous. She is known as a performer and released her own single and an extended play. She is an activist who is a tireless advocate to promote LGBT equality.
