Sharni Vinson is an American-born Australian actor, dancer and actress born on July 22, 1983. She was born in Sydney Australia. Sharni Vinson debuted as an actor in 2001, when she portrayed a role as a character in Home and Away, a soap opera based in Australia. She was chosen to be the lead role in the soap opera in Australia Home and Away because her performance on this particular role was so compelling that the casting agents requested her to play different parts. She auditioned, but she did not win the part. In the same episode Cassie Turner was cast in the role of an unruly teenage girl who was placed living in foster care.
